About WPC
Wickliffe Presbyterian Church is a place where everyone is welcome! Some of our members are lifelong Presbyterians, but others come from other church affiliations or from no religious background whatsoever. This is a place where we all can grow together and learn from one another. Here you can explore your faith, ask questions, and experience the presence of God in worship and service.
At Wickliffe we enjoy spending time with each other! We have a variety of fellowship opportunities regularly throughout the year, including small group gatherings, group dinners, and fun social outings for the entire congregation.
We care for one another in times of sadness and rejoice with one another in times of joy. Our board of deacons and church session provide financial assistance to members who are in need. But we are not a church that exists just for itself. We feel called to reach out to the community around us and to meet the needs of others.
Every month, we collect dry goods for distribution to low income citizens in our community. We also work one night each month at the Mahoning County Rescue Mission, a ministry that provides a good, hot meal to those in need. Our “TLC Preschool and Daycare” is known throughout the community for its excellent and compassionate nurture of children. These are just some of the ways the congregation seeks to meet real and existing needs in our community.
In many other ways, we are Growing in the Love of the Lord. If you are looking for a new church home, or if you want to explore your faith (or your doubts), you are welcome here!

The purpose of Wickliffe Presbyterian Church is to be a loving and caring congregation. We strive to have God’s presence in our lives in worship, education, stewardship, and fellowship; to take responsibility
for mission locally and beyond, and to model Christ in every way. To carry out the Lord’s commandment that we make disciples, baptize them, and teach them to obey all that He has commanded. (Matthew 28: 19-20)
God
We believe in one God, existing and expressed in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - the perfect expression of community. Being created in God’s image, we are created for relationship-with God and others.
Jesus
We believe Jesus is the Son of God-fully God, fully human. Through His life, death on the cross and resurrection, He gives life, hope and love to whoever turns from their former life and receives Him. We believe that the grace, forgiveness and power of a personal relationship with Jesus transforms a person's life with new-found purpose, meaning and habits.
Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit makes it possible to know and experience God in a real way-through teaching, encouraging, convicting, empowering and being with us.
The Bible
The Bible is God's Word to us, revealing who God is, how to be in a relationship with God, and how to live our lives in a way that honors God’s ways of life. We trust in the Bible's authority in and relevance to everyday life.
Relationship with God Through Jesus
We are accepted (saved) by God, now and for eternity, not because of anything we have done, but through the love and forgiveness of Jesus, demonstrated by dying on the cross. This relationship is a gift (grace) that we receive through trust (faith) and repentance (turning away from our former ways).
Mission & Ministry
God's Spirit gives us each unique gifts through which we joyfully serve God and take part in God's mission of drawing people to Him and restoring a broken world.
The Church
As Christ followers, we are called to be a unique community that practices and reflects the love and ways of God. Christ's Church is bigger than one denomination or group, made up of all who affirm Jesus as Lord and Savior.
